Yves Tumor, Jordan Ward, Elyanna and Weston Estate will take the stage for this year鈥檚 Spring Weekend on Sunday, April 21, according to Brown Concert Agency.
The festival will be one day this year due to significant cuts in BCA鈥檚 budget and rising production costs, The Herald previously reported.
Students who attended the BCA鈥檚 lineup release party expressed excitement about the lineup.
鈥淚 didn鈥檛 really know any of the artists by name, but I really liked the music, so I鈥檓 pumped,鈥� said Annie Witt 鈥�27 at the party.
Other attendees had similar reactions. 鈥淚 also didn鈥檛 know the artists 鈥� I only listen to mainstream artists 鈥� but I鈥檓 excited,鈥� Victoria Hernandez 鈥�27 said.
鈥淚 haven鈥檛 heard of some of them, but people were excited, so I鈥檓 excited,鈥� Alicia Joo 鈥�26 told The Herald.
Some students also expressed dissatisfaction in the comment section of BCA鈥檚 announcing the lineup.
Yves Tumor is an experimental musician based in Italy. They have released four albums, the most recent of which, 鈥�,鈥� came out in 2023. Tumor also featured in Willow鈥檚 Smith鈥檚 2023 release, 鈥淧erfectly Not Close to Me.鈥�
鈥淚 know Weston Estate and Yves Tumor, and I鈥檓 excited to see them live,鈥� Gaby Choi 鈥�26, another student who attended the party, said.
After making a career for himself as a backup for artists including Justin Bieber and Becky G, Jordan Ward pivoted to music, releasing his first EP, 鈥淎 Peak at the Summit,鈥� in 2017 as an R&B singer/songwriter.
A Palestinian-Chilean songwriter, Elyanna performed at Coachella 2023, where she was the first artist to sing a full set in Arabic, according to . She has released two EPs, 鈥淓lyanna鈥� and 鈥淓lyanna II,鈥� and is slated to release her debut album 鈥淲oledto鈥� next week. She will also appear at in August.
Weston Estate is a North Carolina-based indie band that calls themselves 鈥測a aunty鈥檚 favorite boy band.鈥� Members Tanmay Joshi, Abhi Manhass, Srikar Nanduri, Marco Luka and Manas Panchavati released their first single, 鈥淐otton Candy,鈥� in 2019.
